Sobre la Artista
Criada en un hogar nicaragüense en Miami, FL, y ahora residenciada en la ciudad de Baltimore, Jessy DeSantis es una artista autodidacta que crea obras vibrantes y llenas de significado. El fuerte contraste de colores vibrantes y espacios blancos en sus pinturas atrae al espectador hacia sus sujetos. Se inspira en su conexión con la naturaleza, la comida, la familia y sus raíces centroamericanas. Sus pinturas, que a menudo representan aves, son más que simplemente bellas visualmente; muchas llevan consigo una intención y una historia por contar. Busca transmitir estas historias de herencia y verdad, con todas sus complejidades, a sus hijos y futuras generaciones. La artista afirma que, a medida que crece y evoluciona en la vida, su arte también evolucionará y cambiará con ella. Actualmente, está dominando el arte del retrato y la narración a través de una perspectiva cultural e histórica.
